In case you missed it, yesterday I announced my pregnancy and mentioned that I would be putting up a blog specifically related to being pregnant with hyperemesis. I've only written my history so far, my first four pregnancy experiences, but here is the link to that blog:
Hyperemesis......Again
Since the purpose of writing that blog is primarily so people can understand and be more aware of what hyperemesis actually is and how it effects (affects?) a woman's pregnancy, I'll tell you up front that there will likely be mention of things like bleeding, bowel movements, vomiting, and the like. So.....not quite G rated. If you're not interested in reading about any of the aforementioned things, I suggest you just stick to this blog. :) Or if you prefer to look at pretty pictures, my photography blog.

The Transition
I've been contemplating this transition for a while now. All the "famous" (and I use that term loosely) photographers who blog say it's true. You'll gain a better blog audience if you blog about yourself. Your life. Your dreams. Your aspirations. You.
Over the past few months, I've gotten a lot better at doing that. But it hasn't affected my business at all because, well, I do it here. On this blog. And so I believe the time has come that I combine my personal life blog with my business life blog. To be honest, it's really difficult to keep up with both. But up until recently, I always thought that there should be some separation between my life and my business. And there is some separation. But on the homefront of blogging, it just seems that it would be easier (as well as advantageous) for me to end the separation.
So I'm going to try this out. I don't know if it will last, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I may still blog here sometimes or I may not. We'll just have to see how things go. But for now, I encourage you to follow me over on my photography now-turned-personal/photography blog:

Green Beans and Cheesecake
I happen to think that eating a very balanced diet is of utmost importance, especially when pregnant. So today for lunch I partook in a vegetable, a fruit, a protein/dairy, and a grain.
Green beans, Raspberries, Cream cheese, and a Graham cracker crust. :)

I'm Back!
I'm back in Indiana after shooting a wedding in Iowa, taking a week-long vacation with my hubby, picking up our kiddos from my parents' house and driving all the way back home. My husband and I had a really great time. We were able to actually hear each other, do "couple" things, and just enjoy some time alone for a few days. But it was nice to get back to our kids as well.
There is laundry in the washer and dryer upstairs, the trip snacks have all been put away, and my kids are in their rooms for quiet/nap time. On the other hand, the table hasn't been cleaned from lunch, the kitchen floor needs swept, the grocery list has only just been started, clean clothes need to be put away, the van needs to be thoroughly cleaned out, and general trip unpacking has yet to happen. At least I've gotten a few things done, right? :)
We've never been out of the house for this lengthy of a time period before (11 days) and I had no idea those little dust spiders (that's what I call them) could take over the corners so quickly! I also had no idea that toilets could get dirty without being used! Apparently I do a little more housekeeping than I think I do when we're home....which is kind of a nice feeling.
On a more personal note, I went online today and discovered that I'm now 26 weeks pregnant. Did I need to go online to figure that out? Well, probably not. But my calendar is upstairs and I'm way too lazy to go and check it. Anyway, the 26 week thing sort of threw me off as I was certain I was closer to 23 or 24. But I guess being out of town and forgetting about all things normal has caused me to forget life as I know it.
I'm feeling extremely sore all the time with this pregnancy. My midwife says that's common once you get past the 3rd pregnancy, but I happen to think it may have more to do with the distance between my children than the number of pregnancies I've now encountered. Either way, I'm so grateful to know that our little one is doing well and continues to grow inside me...even if it does mean sore ligaments for me. Speaking of the little one, this child DOES NOT SLEEP. I'm not even kidding. If I'm awake, the baby is awake. If I'm asleep, the baby is awake. If I'm up running around, the baby is awake. If I sit down to rest, the baby is awake. IT'S. CRAZY. I do hope this isn't a sign of things to come....
I've been pondering, as of late, the direction I'd like to take with this blog. As my life becomes busier and busier, I find it easier to blog about my kids, my husband, my....everything, and more difficult to blog about great coupons finds, recipes, etc. I still definitely enjoy those things, but the time factor to blog about them just seems to become more and more difficult. I haven't quite decided where all of this pondering will lead but I thought I'd give you a heads up.
I've had mostly favorable comments about my recent beginnings of "Not Me! Monday" posts, so I plan to continue those. And to the one anonymous commenter last week, I'm sorry that you did not enjoy reading my post. I suggest skipping over those from now on if you prefer not to read them. As I mentioned in my previous paragraph, this blog may begin to show more of me and less of other, so if you aren't big on what the real me is...well....I'm so sorry. And as a final note on that topic, commenting anonymously (unless you simply cannot figure out the system, like my mom) is considered cowardly and rude in the blogosphere. Especially when leaving negative comments.
To the rest of you....sorry for my short rant. :)
I hope you're all enjoying the beautiful summer weather!
